Bill Grimes was born in Eugene, Oregon in 1968 and later moved to Ohio with his parents as a young boy. He grew up in a house that did not regularly attend church and he had only a general knowledge of God until late in his teen years. While dating his now wife, Deborah, he attended a Baptist church and yielded to the conviction of the Holy Spirit of God about his sinful lifestyle and need for a Savior to save his soul.
He and Deborah married in 1987 and went on to have five children together. After being called of God to preach, Bill attended Massillon Baptist College from 1993 to 2000. From there, he and his wife have faithfully served in various capacities at each of the local churches they have been members of through the years.
Pastor Grimes has been a children’s church preacher, Sunday school teacher, church bus driver, usher, soundboard system worker, nursing home minister, Vacation Bible School worker, and cook and table server at many, many church related events throughout the years.
In 2018, the Lord called Bill Grimes to become the Pastor here at Emmanuel Baptist Temple. Pastor Grimes faithfully preaches the Word of God each service and is excited to see the Lord work in his own life as well as the lives of others as we grow in grace serving Him through the ministry of Emmanuel Baptist Temple.
